On Tuesday January 8th, 2013, our newest member Mark Schumach presented an American Flag

to the Lodge that was flown in combat onboard a B1B-Bomber on October 20, 2012 over Afghanistan by the

37th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron in support of Operation Enduring Freedom for Luther B. Turner Lodge #732.

Proudly accepting the flag presented by this fine Airman were

Veteran and Worshipful Master John Cowan, Veteran and Senior Warden Bruce Schreiber, and Junior Warden Steven M. Miller, PM

New Sound  System

Luther B Turner Lodge has investigated upgrading the public address system in the lodge room. John Rumer and myself were charged with gathering information and pricing for a new system to replace the Radio Shack equipment which is old and very unreliable for use during our stated meetings. There are many members who have a difficult time hearing the ritual work. A new sound system would improve their enjoyment of the proceedings.

I contacted Chad Dennewitz who has worked on the sound system located in Aladdin Shrine and received a quote of approximately $5200 for a new amplifier, mixer, speakers and microphones (both wired and wireless). The system would be expandable to add additional microphones and could support speakers and microphones in the lower level of the lodge as well.

It would also allow us to add music for our ritual work by connecting a CD Player and recording items electronically though a computer.

Our budget for the next year is tight and we will have to raise funds to proceed with the purchase and installation.

If you would like to contribute to completing this project you may send a check to

our secretary, WB Ron Dews,

marked for:

The Luther B. Turner building fund – Sound System.

The address is 2933 Valleyview Drive, P. 0. Box 44073, Columbus, Ohio 43204-44073.
